Cancel or materially change an event

Stop sales, notify attendees and understand the refund effect of a cancellation or major change.

Before making the change

Check whether the event can still be delivered accurately and safely. Significant changes to date, time, venue, key performers or what was advertised may be treated as material and can make attendees eligible for refunds.

Cancel the event

  1. Open the event as its owner and choose the settings icon.

  2. Choose Cancel Event and enter the requested cancellation reason.

  3. Confirm only after checking the event ID and date; cancellation cannot be treated as an ordinary edit.

  4. Publish a clear Notice if attendees may still need practical information.

What cancellation does

New ticket sales stop. Paid orders are queued for automatic ticket-price refunds and paid and free attendees are notified. The booking fee is normally not refunded unless required by law, and the organiser amount is adjusted to cover refunds.

For a reschedule or another change, update the page and notify attendees promptly. Attend decides whether the change is material and what remedy applies.
