Make your profile private and manage follow requests

Choose whether people can follow immediately or must ask for your approval first.

Make your profile private

  1. Open Settings, then Privacy & Security.

  2. Turn on Private page.

  3. New people who want to follow you must now send a follow request.

Respond to follow requests

Attend does not notify someone when their follow request is rejected.

  1. Open Notifications and choose the Requests view.

  2. Review the account that asked to follow you.

  3. Accept to add them as a follower, or reject to leave your profile unavailable to them.

Public versus private

A public profile can be followed immediately. A private profile uses approvals for new followers. This setting controls your profile; event visibility is chosen separately when an organiser creates an event.
