Attend™ Community Guidelines (v1) Attend exists to help people discover and run events safely. These guidelines explain what's allowed and what isn't.

Attend is also values-led: we work with Narrow Gate™ and other Christian bodies to help promote a positive ethos and to support Christian events, content, and community. We welcome users from many backgrounds, but content and events must follow these Guidelines.

If you break these rules, we may remove content, limit features, suspend you, or permanently ban you.

1) Be respectful Allowed: opinions, criticism, debate. Not allowed:

• harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation • hate or discrimination based on protected characteristics (e.g., race, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity) • encouraging others to target, "dogpile," or harass someone

2) No scams, fraud, or impersonation Not allowed:

• fake events, "ticket then vanish" behaviour, misleading listings • phishing, pyramid schemes, "cash flip" scams, fake giveaways • impersonating people, brands, venues, or organisers • counterfeit tickets or redirecting users off-platform to scam them

3) No doxxing or sharing private information Not allowed:

• posting or soliciting someone's phone number, address, private messages, IDs, bank details, or other personal data without consent • encouraging others to identify or harass someone • posting private event access details publicly (e.g., private links, door codes)

4) Child safety (zero tolerance) Not allowed:

• any sexual content involving minors (we will remove, ban, and may report) • grooming, attempting to meet minors, or sexualising minors • sharing content that exploits or endangers minors

5) Sexual content and exploitation Not allowed:

• non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn") • sexual exploitation, coercion, trafficking-related content • "Sex parties" or sexually explicit events where the primary purpose is sexual activity (including swingers/orgies) or where sex is explicitly marketed or heavily implied as the main point of the event

Adult (18+) content: only if legal, appropriately labelled, and not pornographic/explicit.

6) Violence, threats, and extremist content Not allowed:

• Credible threats of harm or encouragement of violence • Terrorism/extremist propaganda or recruitment • Content primarily intended to glorify violence or incite harm • Nazism / neo-Nazism: content or events that promote, praise, support, or organise around Nazi/neo-Nazi ideology, including Nazi symbols, slogans, salutes, propaganda, or "ironic"/"edgy" Nazi content used to signal or recruit • White supremacy / ethnonationalist hate ideologies: content or events promoting racial superiority, segregation, ethnic cleansing, forced removal, or "replacement" narratives used to justify hate • Extremist recruitment or coordination: attempts to recruit, fundraise, coordinate, or provide resources for extremist groups or hate movements • Dehumanisation and incitement: content that dehumanises people (e.g., calling groups "animals/vermin") or encourages violence, intimidation, or discrimination against protected groups • Glorifying mass violence: praising or celebrating mass attacks, genocides, or perpetrators, or using them as inspiration • Symbolism used to threaten: use of extremist symbols/slogans to harass or intimidate, even if claimed as "ironic" or "historical"

We may remove content/events if they create a real safety risk even if framed as "jokes."

6A) Occult / satanic content and events Attend is a values-led platform. We do not allow content or events that promote, celebrate, or centre around evil, occult or satanic worship/rituals, or that use occult/satanic themes to intimidate, harass, glorify harm, or encourage dangerous behaviour.

(This is about what is promoted on Attend. It is not an invitation to harass people for their personal beliefs.)

7) Drugs and controlled substances Not allowed:

• selling or promoting illegal drugs or controlled substances • events primarily organised for illegal drug distribution

(If your event is a normal nightclub event, that's different — but promoting drug activity is not allowed.)

8) Tickets: no resale, scalping, or fake tickets Right now, tickets are not transferable on Attend.

Not allowed:

• reselling tickets through posts or direct messages • "DM me for tickets" scalping or off-platform resales promoted on Attend • fake tickets, fraud, or chargeback abuse

9) Event listings must be honest If you're an organiser, your listing must be accurate:

• correct date/time/location (or clear "TBA") • real lineup/acts (don't imply confirmations you don't have) • clear age restrictions (18+ etc.) • clear entry rules (ID requirements, dress code) in the description • clear what the ticket includes

Private events: don't mislead users into thinking they're invited.

10) 18+ events and age gating Don't try to bypass age gates.

Venues/organisers may require ID. If you can't provide ID or are underage, you may be refused entry.

11) Spam, manipulation, and platform abuse Not allowed:

• spam posts, repetitive promos, comment flooding • mass unsolicited direct messages or event invites, including repeated invites to people who don't follow you • fake engagement (likes/follows), coordinated manipulation • automation/bots used to scrape, spam, or abuse Attend • attempts to break the platform or bypass limits

12) Intellectual property (copyright/trademarks) Only post content you have the rights to use.

Not allowed:

• uploading copyrighted music/video you don't have rights for • using logos/branding in a misleading way ("official partner" when you aren't)

13) Off-platform harassment Using Attend to coordinate harassment elsewhere is still a violation here.

14) Reporting, enforcement, and appeals Reporting

Use in-app reporting where available — events, posts, stories, profiles, and direct messages can all be reported. For urgent issues (scams, impersonation, illegal content), email: Support@Attendit.app

What we can do

We may:

• remove posts/events • restrict features • restrict your ability to create events, temporarily or permanently • suspend or permanently ban accounts

• delay/withhold organiser payouts where we reasonably believe there is fraud, policy breach, or unresolved disputes

Breaches are recorded

When we confirm a rule has been broken, we keep a record of it — even where the outcome was simply that you corrected the issue and carried on. Repeated confirmed breaches lead to escalating enforcement, including temporary and then permanent restrictions on creating events, and temporary and then permanent account bans. The most serious categories (such as child safety and fraud) result in an immediate permanent ban on the first occurrence.

Mistakes happen

We use a mix of user reports, human review, and automated checks. If you believe we made a mistake, contact Support to appeal. Appeals are reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original decision.

15) Direct messages (DMs) Attend offers user-to-user direct messages. A few important rules:

• All of these Guidelines apply inside DMs — harassment, scams, doxxing, sexual content, child safety, and every other rule above applies to private messages just as it does to public content. • Don't use DMs to sell or resell tickets, or to request payment off-platform. • Never use DMs (or posts, or event descriptions) to request sensitive information like bank details, passwords, or IDs. Attend staff will never ask for these by DM. • No mass unsolicited messaging. Sending high volumes of DMs or event invites to people who don't follow you may be treated as spam (see section 11). • Under-16s do not have access to DMs. The feature is unavailable to accounts under 16.

Your privacy. DMs are private by default. Our team does not browse private messages. A conversation is only reviewed by our team when a participant reports it — and then only the reported conversation. Separately, we monitor anonymous activity counts (such as how many messages or invites an account sends, and whether they go to followers or strangers) to detect spam and abuse; these counts do not include the content of any message.

Official messages. Attend never delivers official decisions — about your account, events, payouts, refunds, or policy — by DM. Official notices come through your in-app inbox and email. Treat any DM claiming to be an official Attend decision as suspicious and report it.
